If the mystery is shaped by how we tell it, we must tell it well.

WAWI approaches the act of telling as an important site of contact and collaboration.

We support experiencers of the anomalous who want to write and writers who want to take seriously their anomalous experiences.

What are we in?

WAWI is drawn to the underseen, the never-exposed, the outer-respectable, and the historically and institutionally overwritten.

We aim to publish work that sustains its own uncertainties and that reads the supernatural as superabundantly natural. We are most excited by narratives and forms as generously indifferent to categorization as high strangeness itself.
